Our French style ‘sauccisson sec,’ which translates to ‘dry sausage’ is always made with sauvignon blanc wine. It also pairs well with a savignon blanc wine. The wine characteristically shows a heavy minerality with melon. The aforementioned traits pull out the spice characteristics of the cardamom pods and orange zest. The ginger also contributes to a fresh flavor that is not overly fatiguing to the palette. This flavor goes great with dessert and is loved by children. Cardamom is the third most expensive spice after vanilla and saffron.
The Tasty Treason was named by a middle school-aged customer, Anthony C. Bramante. He is currently a student at Poway High School.
